Jujutsu Zero Ten Shadows: Shadow Island, Altar and Shikigami

The Headline Update

Ten Shadows Pt. 2 is the current major content drop in Jujutsu Zero — the shikigami-summoning technique from the series, expanded with its second content part. The game’s title banner is running the follow-up [⛩️BUFFS] patch (August 16), which tuned the update’s kits.

Codes Tied to the Update

  • CTBUFFS — released with the buffs patch: 1,000 Cursed Crystals, 10,000 Lumens and 50 Clan Rolls. Active now.
  • TENSHADOWS — the Pt. 1 celebration code, now expired.

Getting Ten Shadows

Ten Shadows is pulled on the cursed technique banner like other kits (350 Lumens per spin — pity math in the FAQ). Watch for its featured banner rotation to pull at boosted odds rather than spending off-banner.

Getting to Shadow Island

Nearly all Ten Shadows progression lives on Shadow Island, and the door is a Secret Ticket: farm the periodic mini-bosses on Summer Island until one drops it, then talk to the Shadow Island NPC at spawn to travel.

Megumi’s Quests First

Do these before anything else — each completed quest pays 6 Shadow Essence, which is exactly one Altar summon:

  • Shatter the Pillars — destroy three pillars around the island. Each has 550 HP and only takes base damage (technique and gear damage don’t speed it up), but the pillars never fight back.
  • Gathering Essence — collect six marked items; the on-screen markers make this trivial.

Both quests done = two Altar summons banked before touching a single mini-boss timer.

Mini-Boss Timers and Drops

Shirou10 minLight Fur
Kuro10 minDark Fur
Nue20 minSharp Talons
Mahoraga30 minWheel Fragment

Every kill also pays Shadow Essence. The efficient farm is server hopping: clear every boss currently up, then hop — never camp one server waiting out a 30-minute Mahoraga timer. Keep every material; each shikigami’s mastery path consumes its own.

The Shikigami Altar

Feed the Altar 6 Shadow Essence and it summons a random shikigami raid — you can’t pick, so expect repeat summons before you hit the one you need. Beating a raid pays that shikigami’s tag plus its unique material (Shirou tag + Light Fur, Kuro tag + Dark Fur, Nue tag + Sharp Talons, Mahoraga tag + Wheel Fragment), which unlock and upgrade its individual mastery tree path. Tags don’t cross over — Shirou tags do nothing for Nue’s path — so full progression means farming every raid separately.

Two Rare Drops Worth Chasing

  • Shadow Nue Gear (Nue raid) — summons a Shadow Nue flying mount.
  • False Wheel (Mahoraga raid) — an accessory with +125% Ten Shadows technique amp, the single biggest damage item for the build. Keep farming Mahoraga even after his path is done.

Is It Worth Pulling?

Early meta reports place Ten Shadows in the upper tier — see its provisional entry on the Best Techniques list. We update the ranking as the post-patch meta settles.
